Welcome to the RVOS Website!
Orchids are the largest family of plants in the world, with about 30,000 species. They grow on every part of the earth except the polar regions. With this huge variety, anyone that likes plants can find one or more orchid species that appeal to them. The Rogue Valley Orchid Society is a group of local hobbyists who find growing orchids interesting and get together to expand their knowledge of the orchid growing hobby and meet and socialize with other orchid enthusiasts.
We have monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month, except June and July, as well as field trips, summer social activities, and our annual Orchid Show and Sale. We welcome and encourage anyone with an interest in Orchids to explore this site, visit our monthly meetings, and come see the Orchid Show.
